It turns out the prize money for the SPLASH photo competition was actually £25, which has now been donated to the Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity. I must say, it feels very good to know i've contributed towards a cause which has affected me personally in the past. I'm sure many of my friends here have had similar experiences. Thanks extend to my friend Shelley, who also donated her share of the money towards the same cause.

It may seem strange, but i'm almost a second year university student (assuming i've passed these exams), while only 10 journals ago I was still a fresher. Things have changed drastically for me, I feel more educated in my field of engineering, and i've decided that drinking is something i'll reserve for very special occasions, as its such a huge waste of money.

I've got a small backlog of photos to upload at the moment, and when I finish the exam period i'll do some post production on them and get them up soon
